Nope, not quite. After months of speculation and rumors surrounding Paramount Pictures’ upcoming movie with Jennifer Lawrence, the Darren Aronofsky-directed drama is still without a name or an official release date. Under the working title of Day 6, we’re chomping at the bit for this one, which is sure to fit perfectly within Aronofsky’s wheelhouse of compelling, fascinating fare.
Lawrence — who last year dropped out of Richard Linklater’s The Rosie Project to work with Black Swan‘s Aronofsky — will co-star with Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, Domhnall Gleeson and Michelle Pfeiffer. According to IMDb, the Day 6 story will follow “a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.” Sounds enticing! It is unknown at this time which of these actors will be portraying the couple, though we could easily point to Lawrence as one of them.
Day 6 has recently pushed ahead with a grueling rehearsal schedule and will start filming imminently, with production rumored to stretch well into August. While it was rumored that the new title for the film would be Mother, fans of Pfeiffer speculated this earlier name indicated she would have played the titular role. Paramount has since confirmed this would not be the movie’s official title after all, so it looks like fans will have to keep guessing as to which role the Hollywood veteran will play!
Rumoured release date for ‘Day 6’ is 29th Dec 2017!
