Who would you like to work with next?
I’ve always loved George Clooney and I have huge amounts of respect for him. I also got to meet Jennifer Lawrence recently and I spent a while with her because she’s the neighbour of one of my friends in LA who directed me in The Young Doctor’s Notebook. She’s awesome. She’s another one of those people that gives you faith that this industry doesn’t necessarily turn people into monsters. She’s the most famous person in the world and she’s still really, really cool and normal. It’s like, if you are a monster then you’ll be tolerated more in this industry than you would most other places. In terms of directors, me and Juno [Temple] had a conversation last night about who are the top five directors that we would actually shank someone to work with. I think mine ended up being Quentin Tarantino, the Coen brothers, Christopher Nolan, Wes Anderson and Paul Thomas Anderson and then we went to all time shanking list, so like Sidney Lumet and Powell and Pressburger but [laughs] you’ve got to set your terms. Can you time travel? [Laughs]
